The “Worlds First” that Shaun Hays, Chicago Chalk Champ,  is confirmed to attempt at Art Prize Seven is going to be rediculous!

Shaun is known for diving headfirst into the fray with little more than an idea and executing near impossible feats of illusion using only chalk and whatever surface is available. (see “SUPERCHAMP” for some examples) *link missing, needs update*

This one will be yet another one we will be talking about for years to come: Shaun will be creating a masterpiece illusion created , of course, out of chalk. This time he will not be mearly drawing with chalk, but building the illusion with sticks of chalk that will act as individual pixels (like your television uses)! Yep! this is going to take alot of time and a huge amount of talent and patience. Shaun estimates four days of standing sticks of chalk together to create the pattern.

The work will be on display at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids, MI during ART PRIZE SEVEN.
